Description
Choose this small group tour to Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi if you like a coast day with company but without the crowd of a big coach. A minibus picks you up at designated hotels in Naples, and one tour leader stays with you from morning to evening.
In Sorrento the leader does not simply drop you off: you take a guided walk through the historic centre, past artisan shops and hidden corners, then have free time and taste local limoncello. The road to Positano runs along cliffs above the Mediterranean, and the minibus gets you close to the heart of town. Parking is already covered, so you can walk its colourful streets, reach Spiaggia Grande or stop for a gelato.
The Amalfi Drive leads on to Amalfi, where you explore the old centre at your own pace and admire the Cathedral of St Andrew from the outside. Book the lunch option and a table is waiting at a local restaurant there, which is the way to take a break from the walking.
On the way back, a lottery in the style of the Neapolitan tombola offers a bottle of IGP limoncello to the winner. The day is long, between eight and a half and nine hours, and not suitable for wheelchair users.
