Description
A Herculaneum tour from Naples starts with a driver waiting in the city. An air-conditioned minivan takes you to Ercolano and brings you back to the point where you began, so the whole outing fits in about three hours.
Inside the archaeological park a licensed guide is yours alone: the tour is private, for your group only. For two hours on foot you move through a town that Mount Vesuvius buried in 79 AD, with stories about how its Roman inhabitants lived and what happened when the volcano erupted. Skip-the-line tickets and priority access are included, so the time goes on the ruins rather than on the queue.
- Private licensed guide for your group only
- Round-trip minivan transfer from Naples
- Skip-the-line tickets to the Herculaneum site
Herculaneum is smaller and better preserved than Pompeii, which makes it a good pick if you want to see ancient Roman life up close without a long day. Food and drinks are not included.
