With this Mount Vesuvius skip-the-line ticket and audio guide you go straight to the entrance, scan the ticket at the turnstiles and set off on your own. No guide leads the way: the commentary is in your pocket, and you decide how fast to go and where to stop.
Choose the audio guide in English, French, German, Spanish or Italian and save it on your phone. Do it before the climb, since the mountain has no internet signal. You can save the ticket on the phone or print it. Along the path to the crater's edge, the commentary covers the geology of the volcano, its history and its famous eruptions.
From the summit the panorama stretches across the Bay of Naples and the countryside around it. You can also look at the rock formations close up and read the landscape with what the audio guide has told you. The visit takes about two hours.
