Description

Try scuba diving in Baia, in the underwater archaeological park, with no experience: a short briefing, an instructor at your side and a dive among sunken Roman villas, mosaics and statues.

Try scuba diving in Baia and you breathe underwater above a Roman site without any prior experience, in the underwater archaeological park. This Try Scuba session is built for people who have never breathed underwater, and the whole experience lasts about two hours.

After a welcome and a short briefing on breathing and signalling underwater, you put on the gear and board an inflatable boat moored right in front of the diving centre. A short ride takes you to the park, and you enter the water gradually with a certified instructor beside you. The dive itself runs about 25 to 30 minutes at a depth of 3 to 5 metres.

  • Roman villas, mosaics and statues on the seabed
  • Full diving gear, tank refill, showers and changing rooms
  • Entry ticket to the park and a dedicated instructor

The centre, Sea Point, has worked in diving for over 30 years and is authorised to enter the park. It is on the quay at Baia. You should feel comfortable in the water, and children under 10 and pregnant women cannot take part. After booking, you contact the centre to confirm date and time. Getting there is up to you: the Cumana railway from Naples, an EAV bus or a taxi.
