Description
This Royal Palace of Caserta guided tour is two hours inside a royal palace whose history goes back to 1752. You meet the guide, go in together, and the admission ticket for the apartments and the park is already included.
Inside, you walk through a long succession of stately rooms and about two dozen apartments, and the guide helps you imagine what life at court was like. The route includes the royal theatre, and along the way the guide compares the palace with other famous landmarks.
Outside, the tour moves on to the royal gardens, where fountains inspired by mythology and beds of colourful flowers line the paths. It is a good setting for photos and for a slow walk after the rooms.
